President Trump faced a lot of heat on Friday after making a gaffe during his Fourth of July speech on the National Mall Thursday night. In his remarks, Trump claimed that Revolutionary Army soldiers not only "manned the air" and "rammed the ramparts," but it “took over airports” in 1775 too. That sparked a hashtag, #RevolutionaryWarAirports, giving social media users another chance to mock 45. Several folks used New York's LaGuardia airport as an entertaining example.

Asked about the mishap on Friday, Trump blamed the teleprompter.

“Actually right in the middle of that sentence, it went out,” Trump reportedly said. “And that’s not a good feeling, when you’re standing in front of millions and millions of people on television.”

And bystanders said the B-2 stealth bombers and Navy Blue Angel flyovers were a treat.
