Lebron Regretfully Explains Why Ohio Voted for Trump

Cleveland Cavaliers star Lebron James has a theory as to why his state voted for Donald Trump. For reasons I can't understand, a reporter asked James to explain his state's voting preferences on the Cavaliers' Media Day.

"Some had valid reasons to vote for him," the reporter noted. "How do you reconcile calling that choice a mistake?"

James, who stumped for Hillary Clinton last year on the campaign trail, sat contemplating for a few moments, before chalking up his state’s “wrong” choice to a lack of education.

“I don’t think a lot of people were educated," he responded. "That’s one of the biggest problems we have when it becomes vote time. People are just not educated on either the individual or what’s going on in the state of the world. They make choices and say things that’s uneducated.”

He then compared Trump's victory to an infamous basketball draft.

“You can go back in the history of time of sports and say the same thing because we keep bringing sports and politics into it, so you could look back at some of the greatest drafts of all-time and say that, ‘Okay, did the Trail Blazers make the right choice when they took Sam Bowie?"

The insinuation being, they should have chosen the legend Michael Jordan. Hillary Clinton was Michael Jordan.

Ohio’s choice in Trump doesn’t stop James from “inspiring the people in his state and inspiring the youth,” he explained.

“My calling is much bigger than that guy,” James said. “I don’t even like saying his name.”

Over in the NFL, dozens of players are putting on quite a display to protest President Trump, disrespectfully kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.

Is any sports league safe from politics?
