Kerry Takes Another Parting Shot at His 'Friend' Netanyahu

In Secretary of State John Kerry's speech trying to explain the Obama administration's abstention in the anti-Israel UN resolution last month, he summed up Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government as the most radical, right wing government in the country's history.

He apparently wasn't done lecturing the Israeli leader.

In an conversation with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week, Kerry accused Netanyahu of stymieing the peace process.

"You're affecting the ability to make peace," Kerry said. "The West Bank is slowly and steadily being eaten up."

Kerry, who has urged a two-state solution between the Israelis and the Palestinians, insisted that a one-state solution, which is preferred by many in Netanyahu's government, is the "recipe for permanent insurgency, permanent conflict."

Oh and as for that abstention, Kerry said the White House intentionally wanted to "ignite a debate."
