FBI Asks For Public's Help, 'Missing 18 Minutes' of San Bernardino Killers' Movements

After sifting through hundreds of pieces of evidence, the FBI agents searching for clues into the San Bernardino killings last month concluded at a Tuesday press conference that the attack was self-inspired, not foreign inspired.

Yet, there are still missing pieces to the tragic story – a full 18 minutes.

The FBI cannot account for the location of Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik from 12:59 p.m. to 1:17 p.m. on December 2, the day the couple savagely murdered 14 people at San Bernardino’s Inland Regional Center. Farook, who had been employed there, was radicalized, along with Malik, and judging by their stash of weapons, had been planning a terror attack for some time.

“If the public has any media in their holdings, witnessed any sightings, that you come to us and please give us that information,” the FBI said.

CNN noted how rare it was for the FBI to admit it needs the public’s assistance to help fill in the blanks.

Will the FBI get the information they’re looking for? If so, what will those missing 18 minutes reveal about the murderers’ motives?
