‘Pathetic,’ Not 'Coming Clean': Presidential Candidates React to Hillary’s Hearing Performance

This post has been updated.

The Republican presidential candidates have clashed over policy and personality, but one thing they all seem to agree on is that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered few real answers into the failed security measures in Benghazi, Libya in 2012 that resulted in four American diplomat deaths. Her appearance at Thursday’s hearing on Capitol Hill was her first time facing the Select Benghazi Committee. She claimed, among other news-to-us items, that she did not perform the bulk of her work on emails, hence why there are so few correspondences relating to Benghazi, and that she did not say the Benghazi attacks were ever related to a YouTube video. A quick fact check proves the latter claim is blatantly false.

Considering several of her GOP opponents were mentioned in today’s hearing, it's only right they have a chance to respond.

Of course we have to start with Donald Trump, who is never afraid to be blunt. He said Clinton looked ‘pathethic.'

Meanwhile, Mike Huckabee was on the campaign trail, still waiting for some answers.

He then made some interesting comparisons.

Carly Fiorina's team has not directly responded to the hearing today, yet during the proceedings she tweeted that Americans deserve better than they ‘Clinton Way,’ which she says is based on dishonest maneuvering, many titles and few accomplishments.

Jeb Bush slammed Clinton's failure to keep our diplomats safe.

Ahead of the hearing, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had a warning for the former Secretary of State.

On "Hannity" Thursday night, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Clinton feels like she's "above the law." The Benghazi tragedy was a "systemic failure," Rubio said. "The buck has to stop at the top."
