Ha! Koch Just Owned Chris Murphy on Twitter

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) had quite the Twitter interaction on Friday.

It all began when he tweeted that he had chided his son for expressing admiration for a Koch Industries commercial. The Koch Brothers, Murphy explained to his child, are "polluters."

To which was responded to by none other than...Koch Industries themselves. They directed the senator to their web page detailing the company's efforts to be as environmentally friendly as possible. (And thanked his son for liking their ad.)

Murphy eventually responded by saying that he told his son that Koch Industries "don't believe" in science, which is obviously a measured and mature reaction to being owned by a Twitter account.

...which was low-hanging fruit for pointing out Murphy's own hypocrisy.

Sometimes Twitter puts up a few gems.
