Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had some pretty pressing thoughts regarding the proposed tax on imported goods from Mexico: it's "mucho sad" that the price of Corona and tequila would go up.
In a more serious note, Graham also said that while he's a supporter of increased border security, he doesn't see the point of levying a tariff on the U.S.'s third-largest trading partner.
Border security yes, tariffs no. Mexico is 3rd largest trading partner. Any tariff we can levy they can levy. Huge barrier to econ growth /1

Simply put, any policy proposal which drives up costs of Corona, tequila, or margaritas is a big-time bad idea. Mucho Sad. (2)

People thought this tweet was mucho funny, and were quick to argue that the price of margaritas should be protected:

@LindseyGrahamSC God bless you Senator for standing up for what's right at a time when we desperately need cheap Mexican booze

@LindseyGrahamSC This is global economics 101. Did Trump take that class? Or did he skip that along with his Civics classes?
