After Sanders Endorsement, Clinton Puts $27 Donation Option On Website

One of Bernie Sanders' favorite claims during his primary campaign was that his average donation size was just $27. While this probably wasn't entirely true, it made for a heck of an image and really played off of Sanders' "David vs. Goliath" mentality.

Now that Sanders has endorsed Hillary Clinton, some eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed something different on Hillary Clinton's donation page: an option to donate exactly $27.

Some high-profile former Bernie supporters, including Michael Whitney, Sanders' digital fundraising manager, have already donated $27.

During her rally with Sanders, Clinton pointed out that she accepted $27 donations as well. Unfortunately, it didn't really go over as well as she'd hoped: the crowd booed.

While the Democratic primary process is effectively over, it looks like there's going to be a lengthy road for party unity.
