The Badger State heads to the polls today, with 42 Republican delegates and and 96 Democratic delegates up for grabs. It's a key race that could show whether or not the Cruz surge is legit, and it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Polls close at 8 p.m. CST.

Who can vote in today's election?

Wisconsin has open primaries and same-day voter registration. Anyone can vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary. Voters must show a photo ID to vote.

How are the delegates awarded?

On the Republican side, delegates are awarded via congressional district. On the Democratic side, 86 out of the 96 delegates are awarded proportionally, and the remaining 10 delegates are uncommitted superdelegates.

What are the polls looking like?

A majority of polls show Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) over Donald Trump, although one recent poll had Trump with a 10-point lead. In the Democratic primary, things are looking interesting as most polls have Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) within a margin of error.
