Today is the Anniversary of the Order to Create Japanese Internment Camps

Today, February 19, is known as the "Day of Remembrance" and marks the 74th anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's executive order authorizing the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. This executive order resulted in more than 100,000 people of Japanese ancestry who lived in the Pacific coast of the United States being imprisoned in camps despite committing no crime.
