Bernie Sanders Supporters Film Themselves Doing Painful Things for the #BernChallenge

In the summer of 2014, one couldn't swing a cat on the internet without seeing someone dump a bucket of ice water on themselves as part of the "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Association. Now, Bernie Sanders supporters are trying to capture that same momentum with the #BernChallenge. The #Bern explaining what they like about Bernie Sanders, filming themselves eating a very spicy food (or doing some other painful activity), "tagging" a few friends to do the challenge in the video, and posting the video online.

According to Yahoo! News, the first official #BernChallenge video was posted on Monday, Nov. 28th.

While I don't really see the #BernChallenge getting as big as the ice bucket version, it's still an impressive display of dedication for a candidate and relatively entertaining. Politics can be boring and "blah" at times, and this is a fun event to drum up support for a candidate with an already-nontraditional campaign and support base.
