Yesterday, I wrote about the president's push to start a hashtag trend on Instagram to promote Obamacare. Excluding accounts for nonprofits created to promote Obamacare, a grand total of five people complied with the request to post a throwback picture of an injury with the hashtag #GetCoveredNow. An Instagram search shows that only 59 total photos have been posted with the #GetCoveredNow tag, which is a pretty small number compared to these 12 seemingly obscure tags:
1. #corgibutt
#Corgibutt has been tagged on 7,871 posts, while similar tag #corgibuttsmakeusnuts has been used on 1,023 pictures.

2. #cheerlebrity
A "cheerlebrity" is somebody (usually a teenager) who has gained some sort of status or notoriety in the all-star cheerleading community. Over 9,000 posts on Instagram carry this tag.

3. #gofriars
The hashtag for my alma mater's sports program has 3,977 images tagged on Instagram, roughly equal to the number of undergraduates at the school.

Grammar snobs may want to skip this one, but the grammatically incorrect hashtag "your perfect" has been used over 51,000 times, or nearly a thousand times more than #GetCoveredNow.
