The White House is blaming Senate Democrats like Charles Schumer for being unable to hold the Dem caucus together, implicitly arguing that's what forced the President to compromise on extending the Bush tax cuts.

Obviously, they're hoping to shift the locus of the left's ire away from The White House, even as the President prepares to use up some political capital to sell a tax plan he himself can't stand.  (Good luck with that.)
