The "Enthusiasm Gap" Is Back Again

Reuters helpfully reveals this morning that Obama backers are showing signs of disappointment in The One.  (You're not alone, Obama backers -- we're all "disappointed.")

But I thought that keeping Democrats on the bandwagon and closing the "enthusiasm gap" was supposed to be one of the political rationales for passing health care reform -- at least according to the Dem leadership and The White House.

Whooops.  Looks like plenty of disenchantment on the left remains, even after Democrats have rammed through an unpopular piece of legislation despised by independents and Republicans.  As Emily Litella might say, "Never mind."
