Burned, Indeed

Charles Gasparino writes in The New York Post about the Wall Street executives and high administration officials who feel "burned" by the unexpected radicalism of the Obama administration

First, what did they expect?  Why did they think that a guy who was the most liberal senator in the nation, was friends with Bill Ayres, with ties to ACORN was going to be a moderate?  Talk about the triumph of hope over experience . . .

Second, it's entirely possible that administration officials like Tim Geithner and Lawrence Summers have been sidelined by more left-wing policy people in The White House.  It would fit a pattern of Obama picking people who put a more moderate face on the administration while really taking the advice of those on the left. 

But if that's what's truly going on, and people like Geithner and Summers are witnessing the implementation of policies they honestly believe are ruinous  for the country, doesn't their own integrity -- and patriotism, even -- require that they resign?
