John Lott runs the numbers, and explains why it's such a distortion when the Obama campaign claims that John McCain is a GWB clone. Included in the votes the Obama campaign counts when quoting the 90% figure are a number of procedural votes.

Running the same numbers on Barack shows that he voted with Ted Kennedy, Pat Leahy, Barbara Boxer and the rest of the Democrats 97% of the time (what's more, he has a more left-wing voting record than any of them).
