McCain and the Jewish Vote

Last night, I mentioned that outreach to Jewish voters might be one reason McCain is keeping Joe Lieberman on his veep list.

Indeed. Remarkably, it seems that

Barack has the lowest numbers with Jewish voters since George McGovern (HT: Gateway Pundit). And apparently, the Obama campaign is somewhat panicky about all this -- Lynn Sweet at the Chicago Tribune has essentially transcribed the anti-McCain talking points designed to appeal to Jewish Americans, which are being zealously circulated by Obama staffers.
