Talking Ourselves Into Recession

As this new report from the Business and Media Institute notes, the MSM's coverage of the economy has been more apocalyptic than news reports before the Great Depression (HT: emailer Dave).

Does anyone think that's a coincidence in an election year, when a crisis atmosphere will redound to the benefit of Democrats -- and, in particular, the presidential candidate who's supposedly the personification of "change"?
