Nancy Pelosi made an unannounced trip to Iraq over the weekend. According to an AFP account of the drop-in:

[Prime Minister] Maliki's office said Pelosi promised "renewed US support" for his government and declared that Washington "would stand by efforts to achieve security and stability and ensure national reconciliation in Iraq."

Doesn't exactly square with her previous calls for withdrawal by the end of the year, does it?
