President Donald Trump took to Twitter Saturday morning to thank the Secret Service for defending the White House after a mob attempted to storm the grounds. According to Trump things could have escalated to "the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons" if the fence was breached.
He also used the opportunity to slam Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for refusing to let the D.C. Police help Secret Service.

Mayor, @MurielBowser, who is always looking for money & help, wouldn’t let the D.C. Police get involved. “Not their job.” Nice!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 30, 2020
