Delusional Beto Strikes Again When He Says The Best Way To Protect Angel Families Is By...

Earlier this week, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Rep. Robert "Beto" O'Rourke (D-TX) held a town hall in Iowa. During the event, O'Rourke said America would be "demonstrably safer" for everyone, but in particular, Angel Families, those who have had a family member(s) killed by an illegal alien.

The answer came as part of a question and answer segment:

"I know you are for tearing down existing wall … and you’re basically for open borders. Have you ever met any Angel Moms here in Iowa?" an Iowan asked O'Rourke. "There’s a woman by the name of Michelle Root, who lives about a hundred miles east of here. And her daughter Sarah was killed by a drunk illegal alien right after she graduated from college … what would you tell her about your immigration stance?"

Instead of admitting that he's in favor of open borders and mass migration to the United States, O'Rourke twisted the voter's question.

"First I would tell her — through you, if you could get this message to her — that I am deeply sorry for your loss. And I would also share with you that I think I understand the spirit of your question, but the premise of it is incorrect. I’m not for open borders. I do think there are places where physical barriers along the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexican border makes sense," Beto responded.

"The way that we beat it is intelligently. We can use a 12th Century solution, like a wall, which will, by the way, force you, force me, to take our fellow Americans' land through eminent domain – their farms, their ranches, their homes – from them, because we will not build this wall on the international boundary, which is the center line of the Rio Grande River Channel," O'Rourke said. "We'll build it miles into the interior of the United States."

And here's where the drum roll comes in.

"We will be demonstrably safer when we know who is in this country and right now there are millions, there are millions in those shadows that we know nothing about today. Give them the chance to get right with the law. Come into the light of day. Contribute even more to the success of this country," O'Rourke explained. "If they have committed crimes, deport them back to their countries of origin. But if they are contributing to the success of our country, they’re raising U.S.-citizen children, let’s offer them a future here in the United States of America."

If you talk to these Angel Families it's very unlikely that any of them would think that the answer to the problem is by adding fuel to the fire. Allowing anyone who is here illegally to stay here and have a future in the United States is not only a slap in the face to these families but a disgrace to those Americans who lost their lives to illegal aliens.

Beto should be ashamed of himself.

If he lost one of his daughters to an illegal alien – someone who isn't even supposed to be here – would he change his tune? Would he suddenly want the borders to be closed, for a wall to be built. You bet your butt he would.

Stop with the lip service. Look into their parents' eyes. Look at the pain these criminals – who you want to give a privilege (citizenship) to – have caused. And tell us again how much safer we'd be with them in our country.
