House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Subcommittee on Government Operations Ranking Member Mark Meadows (R-NC) on Thursday sent a letter to various officials recommending Michael Cohen face perjury charges for statements made during Wednesday's Capitol Hill testimony.

According to Jordan and Meadows, Cohen's statements on Wednesday directly contracted statements he previously made to the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.

The duo provided nine instances Cohen allegedly lied during his testimony, specifically:

• When he said he never defrauded a bank.

• When he said he never sought employment at the White House.

• When he said he didn't establish the @WomenForCohen Twitter account.

• When he said he didn't have any contracts with foreign government entities.

• When he said President Trump directed the payment made to Stephanie Clifford.

• When he said he committed crimes because of "blind loyalty" to President Trump.

In their letter, the two Congressmen cite statements Cohen made previously made that contradict what he said on Wednesday.

Meadows also appeared on Fox News on Wednesday to discuss Cohen's alleged lying:

According to Meadows, Cohen's goal was to "spin a narrative" to impeach President Donald Trump.
