The Single Coolest Item At SHOT Show 2019 – And All Proceeds Benefit Veterans!

During the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show a few weeks ago, manufacturers dropped a number of new products, from firearms to holsters and everything in between. Anything you could ever dream of having for your firearm or outdoor adventure was seen in Las Vegas. The coolest item I came across was the Liberty Rifle, a 100 percent custom rifle designed for the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation. The organization provides support to military men and women who were injured in action, as well as their families.

The "Liberty" rifle was a collaboration between 51Fifty Rifles, Outlaw Ordnance, Elftmann Tactical, Southern Ground, Titan Ballistics, Uintah Precision, Vortex Optics, McGowen Precision, Harris bipods, Hogue and Spartan Mounts.

A bit more about the rifle:

The influence for the design of “Liberty” came from the Revolutionary War, the arguments and quarrels leading up to the war and the after math of the war. We wanted the size and shape of the rifle to embody that of the original musket. The original muskets used in the Revolutionary War weighed approximately 14 pounds and were about 42 inches long. “Liberty” weighs approximately 17 pounds and is a whopping 45 inches long. This rifle is truly custom and unique, from it's one off aluminum buttstock to the 20" handguard, with a custom 26" octagon bull barrel chambered in .338 Federal. We’ve topped this rifle off with a high end scope instead of a bayonet to allow for better accuracy at distances out to 500 yards.

The iconic imagery custom engraved from butt-stock to hand guard encapsulates events occurring during different phases of this time period. From Washington crossing the Delaware, to the liberty bell and Gadsden snake, the signing of the declaration of Independence as well as other historical images from the era. The entire rifle also has a custom cerakote paint job, so don’t be afraid to take it to the range and show it off. And to keep it true to the period, it lives in a custom built wooden rifle crate complete with rope handles ready to mount on the wall so she can be displayed proudly for everyone to enjoy her beauty.
