The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting Sen. Roland Burris (D.-Ill) has submitted a new affidavit, with potentially damaging information, to the Illinois State House regarding his relationship with former Governor Rod Blagojevich.

Burris now admits Blagojevich's brother, Robert, asked him for up to $10,000 in campaign cash before the Blagojevich selected him to fill President Obama's vacated Senate seat.

Robert Blagojevich chaired the governor's Friends of Blagojevich campaign fund.

The Sun-Times reports this is a third version of events Burris has offered to officials regarding his appointment.

Burris had previously sworn he had no contact with Blagojevich, or his representatives, before the appointment was made. Burris later revealed he spoke with Blagojevich's chief of staff. In his most recent statement says he spoke with at least four persons close to the governor about his interest in becoming a senator.
