Greta Versus CNN

CNN has been taking out expensive, full-page ads in the NYT and the WaPo to brag about beating Fox's Greta Van Susteren in the 10pm hour, but here's the funny thing. They've only beat her when her show has been moved up to a different slot!

She wrote a blog post today on GretaWire calling them out and for wasting money on the ads titled "KEEPING THEM HONEST."

I don’t take the ad personally since ON THE RECORD was NOT on at 10pm during the convention (we started about 11:30) but there is a part of me that loves the fact that they brag and spend this giant amount of money about this hour when we are not up against them! We are not only beating them at 10p, but we are draining their cash! (But yes, I do feel bad for the laid off producers etc.)
As an aside, and as you know, ON THE RECORD often doubles (or at least clobbers) CNN at 10pm in TOTAL viewers……we have been #1 for 76 straight months - yes, almost 7 years .

So ON THE RECORD viewers who make us # 1, you should take a bow..and it won’t cost you a dime!
