WaPo Frontpages Cindy McCain's Drug Addition

The McCain campaign is not happy about this A1 story in the WaPo about Cindy McCain's past struggles with prescription drug addiction.

McCain blogger-in-chief Michael Goldfarb called it a "Democratic Party hit piece." (His post also takes issue with the WaPo's and NYT's assessment that Sarah Palin erroneously linked 9/11 to the War on Terror).

Meanwhile, Obama's campaign manager David Plouffe tells the NYT they are going to "get personal" in their negative attacks against the GOP and accuses his fellow Democrats of being a bunch of handwringing, bedwetters. Really.

Here's his quote: “We’re sensitive to the fluid dynamics of the campaign, but we have a game plan and a strategy. We’re familiar with this. And I’m sure between now and Nov. 4 there will be another period of hand-wringing and bed-wetting. It comes with the territory.”
