Reid: We Only Extended Obamacare Because People Don't Know How to Use the Internet

Sen. Harry Reid (D., Nev.) had an excellent reason for the latest Obamacare deadline extension—thousands of Americans just aren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.”

Despite the fact that Obamacare has already been delayed 28 times, Reid told a reporter Wednesday “there’s no hiccup or delay.” The problem is not the glitchy Healthcare.gov or the fact that nobody wants the insurance being offered, according to Reid. The real issue is that many people just aren't as tech savvy as his grandchildren...which doesn’t really help Reid’s argument seeing as millennials are abandoning Obama along with his managerial legislation.

There is already the option to mail in your health insurance information, or call. So perhaps the older generation has forgotten how to use the postal system and the telephone as well.

The White House originally projected Obamacare enrollment would reach seven million by March 31. They then clipped this number to six million, and are still looking at missing this modified goal by one million. Even if Reid’s ludicrous claim has any truth, it is extremely unlikely that a hidden pocket of tech-burdened Americans are going to boost enrollment numbers.

Sometimes you just need to accept defeat and save yourself some embarrassment.
