President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster will be his new national security adviser.

"He is a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience, and I have read a lot over the last two days, he is highly respected in the military," Trump said at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Keith Kellogg, who served as interim national security adviser after Gen. Michael Flynn's resignation, will remain the national security team’s chief of staff, Trump also announced.
