Trump Doesn't Mind Dems Protesting Inauguration: 'I Hope They Give Me Their Tickets'

Nearly 60 Democratic lawmakers are skipping the inauguration but President-elect Trump doesn’t seem to mind. In an interview with Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt that aired Wednesday, Trump said he hopes they give him their tickets. He also addressed the feud with Rep. John Lewis, his tweeting, their relationship with the Obamas, and the wall, among other issues.

Here are some highlights:

On dozens of Democrats skipping Friday’s events, Trump said: “That’s OK, because we need seats so badly, I hope they give me their tickets."

On Rep. John Lewis saying he didn’t consider Trump a “legitimate” president, Trump said he thinks what Lewis did was “very, very divisive.”

He then added that Lewis “just grandstanded … and then he got caught in a very bad lie, so let’s see what happens."

On tweeting, Trump says he actually doesn’t like it but feels it’s a necessity in the fact of a dishonest media.
