Michigan Mechanic: Trump Has Tons of Fans Here

In order to secure the White House in 2020, Democrats are going to have to work extra hard to win back blue collar voters in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. In 2016, President Trump crushed their reliable "blue wall" and his policies on manufacturing could give him another victory next year.

According to a Chrysler mechanic working in Michigan, President Trump has won "legions of fans" for vowing to bring back or stabilize jobs in the state.

"The idea that somebody would fight for us after being told for years and years 'Oh, you don't matter. You're going the way of the buggy whip,' he's won legions of fans just for doing that."

Over in Pennsylvania, unemployment has hit a record low.

Pennsylvania's unemployment rate dropped in March to the lowest rate on record, as payrolls hit a new record high and unemployment shrank to its lowest level since 2000, the state Department of Labor and Industry said.

Pennsylvania, one of the nation's slowest-growing state economies in recent decades, saw its unemployment rate drop by one-tenth of a percentage point to 3.9% last month, the department said. Pennsylvania's rate had twice previously hit 4% since 1976, which is as far back as the state says its records go.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, who is banking on his supposed blue collar appeal to take away votes from Trump, repeatedly said this week that China isn't an economic threat and introduced a job-killing green new deal plan. Oh, and there's also that plagiarism issue.
