One of the First Men on the Moon is Pretty Stoked About Space Force

One of the first men to walk on the moon, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, is giving President Trump's plans for a Space Force his approval.

This was of course a play on fellow astronaut Neil Armstrong’s famous words when he stepped onto the moon for the first time in 1969: "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Yesterday Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech about the Space Force at the Pentagon.

Space Force still needs to be approved by Congress in order to move forward.

Editor's note: A previous version of this post incorrectly stated Buzz Aldrin was the first man to walk on the moon. It was Neil Armstrong. They made the Apollo 11 space flight to the moon together. Apologies for accidental the mix up.
