Heading into tonight's presidential debate the country was in uncharted territory and bracing for the unexpected.
On Friday, news broke of a 2005 Access Hollywood tape showing Republican Donald Trump talking about "grabbing women by the p*ssy." It embroiled the news cycle for two days and Democrat Hillary Clinton condemned the remarks and Republican leaders unendorsed him in droves.
But Sunday night just an hour and a half before the debate started, Trump held a press conference with women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault and abuse. Afterward, they sat inside the debate hall to watch.
When the topic of Trump's 2005 commentscame up during questions and after Clinton attacked him on the issue, Trump reminded voters that he's said bad things but Bill Clinton did worse by sexually abused women.
