Donald Trump was surprised with what he learned during his intelligence briefings last week, and even went on to say that the intelligence officers briefing him showed signs of frustration with the Obama administration's ability to process the information.
“What I did learn is that our leadership, Barack Obama, did not follow what our experts and our truly — when they call it intelligence, it’s there for a reason — what our experts said to do,” the Republican presidential nominee said during an NBC forum on national security.
“And I was very, very surprised. In almost every instance, and I could tell, I have pretty good with the body language, I could tell, they were not happy. Our leaders did not follow what they were recommending,” he said.
Trump said he “didn’t learn anything” from the briefers that would change his views on how to defeat the Islamic State.
Trump also went on to say that the generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful for various reasons.
