Obama Lectures Americans on Climate Change While Trump Establishes New US-Mexican Alliance

While Republican nominee Donald Trump was renegotiating U.S.-Mexican relations, Barack Obama was at Lake Tahoe in Nevada lecturing Americans on their inability to comprehend climate change and demanding that they just trust the "scientists."

“It’s not ‘I’m not a scientist, so I don’t know.’ You don’t have to be a scientist. You have to read or listen to scientists,” he said.

Obama refuses to waiver from his belief in climate change and he even lets the theory dictate his decision making on the battlefield.  Former CIA director Michael Morell said that the White House has hampered the intelligence community's ability to attack oil fields and oil trucks controlled by ISIS.  He said that, “we didn’t go after oil wells, actually hitting oil wells that ISIS controls, because we didn’t want to do environmental damage, and we didn’t want to destroy that infrastructure."

Meanwhile, Trump was in Mexico meeting with President Enrique Pena Nieto, establishing a new relationship and concurring that immigration policies need to be revised in the interests of each country's citizens.

“We had a very substantive, direct, and constructive exchange of ideas over quite a period of time. I was straightforward in presenting my views of the impacts of current trade and immigration policies on the United States,” Trump stated at the beginning of the press conference with Mexico’s president. “We want to make sure the people of the United States are very well protected. You equally expressed your feelings and your love for Mexico.”

Nieto said the meeting “shows that we do have fundamental common ground. Our countries are important one to the other.”
