In a major turn of events, Fox News will host a Democratic town hall for the first time this election cycle. The debate will showcase Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. It will take place on Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m. ET during an episode of “Special Report With Bret Baier.”
Previously, Clinton declined an invite and claimed she had prior events scheduled preventing her from attending. As of this morning, Clinton will participate in tonight's town hall discussion.
Anchor Bret Baier previewed the event earlier on "Happening Now."
Last month, Baier questioned DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz on why the Democratic party had not reached out to Fox News.
Editor's note: A previous version of this post incorrectly stated Hillary Clinton would not participate in the town hall hosted tonight by Fox News' Bret Baier. While it is true Clinton previously turned down an invitation and then chose to participate, we should have included a timely update and did not. We apologize for the error.
