Christie said last year Monmouth County brought him victory with a 64,000-vote win.
“Do the same tomorrow and you’ll send Anna Little to Congress,” he said.
And if it happens, Christie said, the happiest part of his night tomorrow will be seeing Pallone stand at a microphone and concede.
“This is the architect of Obamacare,” he said. “If he’s so proud of it, we’ll send him home and he can work on it by himself.”
Today, early reports indicate that turnout has been relatively light in the district (which benefits Little), and a local state senator is suggesting that Pallone could be in trouble (note the writer's verb of choice):
State Sen. Jennifer Beck (R-Red Bank) said supporters of Tea Party candidate Anna Little are out in droves today and poised to steal this election.“My sense is that there’s a real groundswell,” she said from Red Bank, where she’s a challenger today.
When she went door to door in Red Bank, a longtime Democratic committeeman and his wife told her that they were considering voting for Little over Pallone.
“I thought they were kidding me,” she said. No, the senior citizen couple told her.
They were there when Pallone held his healthcare reform town hall meeting, and they thought he wasn’t listening to the people.
