People Rally to McConnell's Defense in Light of Attack on His Physical Health

Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko, who once worked for Hillary Clinton, is doubling down on his ridicule of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, even after recognizing how unfortunately callous it is. Parkhomenko shared a video of McConnell stumbling on to a stage, with what he thought was a clever caption.

Almost immediately, social media users informed him that McConnell had polio as a child and the condition sometimes reverberates into adulthood.

That didn't matter much to Parkhomenko. Behold the double down.

Refresh his Twitter page and nope, you won't find an apology. As per usual in politics, he deflects and pontificates instead of apologizing. What about this? What about that? For instance, he demands journalists answer for why they didn't sympathize with Hillary Clinton when she fell down stairs. As counter punchers noted, she routinely downplayed her health issues, while McConnell has always been upfront about his polio.

This guy had a good solution.

Despite the cruelty, it looks like McConnell is doing just fine. In yet another win for him in terms of the judiciary, the Senate just reformed confirmation rules.
