Former Hillary Campaign Manager Warns Dems Not to Campaign With Ellison

The Democratic National Committee is currently reviewing those disturbing domestic violence charges against Keith Ellison. The deputy chair and current Minnesota representative is accused of physically attacking and verbally abusing his former girlfriend Karen Monahan. Some Democrats are confused as to how to progress with the investigation ongoing, but not Robby Mook. The former Hillary Clinton campaign manager told his fellow Democrats that they should steer clear of him in an interview with CNN's Kate Bolduan Thursday.

KATE BOLDUAN: But right now, in this moment, should Democrats be campaigning with him? Like (Senator) Amy Klobuchar? What should she be doing?

ROBBY MOOK: To your point, I think it is still very early. I think we need to let the process play out to look if this is true. And if it's true, I think he needs to be held accountable. I don't think people should be campaigning with him.

A former DNC communications spokesperson, Luis Miranda, believes the punishment should be worse. He was adamant that the DNC suspend him immediately until they get some answers.

Below are the charges against the representative, first posted on Facebook by Monahan's son. Ellison has denied the allegations and Monahan has refused to release the supposed video that shows him dragging her off of a bed.

Despite the looming allegations, Ellison easily won his primary race for Minnesota attorney general Tuesday night. Some suggest that was because the media has avoided covering the scandalous report.
