Kerry Seeking War Crimes Investigation Against Syria, Russia After Hospital Attack

Death continues to be the norm in Syria. Over 20 people were killed and hundreds injured in a hospital attack Thursday night which was suspected to be waged by Syrian forces. Now, Secretary of State John Kerry is asking for a war crimes investigation against Russia and Syria because the world deserves "more than an explanation" for their continual aggression.

Kerry insists it is more than accident and that it's time to take action.

"They are beyond the accidental now, way beyond," Kerry said in some of his toughest criticism to date. He accused Russia and Syria of undertaking a targeted strategy to "terrorize civilians."

It may, however, be too little, too late. For instance, Kerry's counterterrorism efforts in Syria with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov went nowhere in the midst of the violence.

See the Wall Street Journal's piece to learn more about how Kerry and the Obama administration missed his opportunity to hold Syria accountable.

The Syrian civil war has so far claimed almost 500,000 people.
