Gary Johnson Made A Curious Claim About Geography on MSNBC

Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, who famously stumbled when asked to name his favorite world leader and also had no idea what "Aleppo" was, has now made the curious claim that having a rudimentary knowledge of world geography is going to somehow lead to war.

Johnson, appearing on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell, acknowledged that he's not the greatest at foreign policy, but that's okay as knowing where countries are means that someone could send the military there.

Watch:

“You know what? The fact that somebody can dot the i’s and cross the t’s on a foreign leader’s geographic location then allows them to put our military in harm’s way.”

Just...what? What does any of this mean? Simply having basic knowledge of other countries has nothing to do with utilizing the military. If Johnson wants to be viewed as a serious candidate (and given the fuss he made over being excluded from the debates, one would assume he does), he has to stop making comments like this that make him sound like a complete imbecile. He's making a laughingstock of Libertarians and the Libertarian Party.
