Justin Amash Has Harsh Words for Senate Democrats Following Gun Control Vote

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) didn't hold back on Twitter about the Senate Democrats who voted in favor of the (failed) gun control amendments in the Senate on Monday. Amash, who is chairman of the House Liberty Caucus, slammed the senators for essentially ignoring due process rights.

He also called out Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for trampling on Constitutional rights.

In sum:

Amash is correct. The terror watch list and the no-fly list are not things that should be used to strip American citizens of their constitutional rights. (The ACLU agrees.) The lists are not perfect by any means, and the government does not have to provide a reason to put someone on them. That's a scary concept.
