Texas Governor Responds Well to Accusations He Cursed the Astros

It's been a rough week for fans of Texas' two baseball teams, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. Last week, when the Astros appeared to have the game (and American League Division Series) locked up over the Kansas City Royals, Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted (and eventually deleted) the following:

The Astros proceeded to collapse and lose the game.

Abbott, on his personal account, acknowledged the error and urged Astros fans to unfollow his governor's account and only follow his personal account.

Last night, the Astros collapse was complete and they were defeated by the Royals. Abbott, ever the good sport, remarked on Twitter that while he doesn't believe in curses or jinxes, he's not taking any chances. So...he congratulated Hillary Clinton. You know, just in case.

Ha. Good on Abbott to find some humor in the sports heartbreak.
