Here's How One Former Hillary Staffer Is Working To Shape The News Cycle Over Kavanaugh's 'Misconduct'

Hillary Clinton's 2016 Press Secretary, Brian Fallon, is now Executive Director of Demand Justice, a liberal advocacy group. When Fallon found out about George Mason University student's calls for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's firing, the group began running Facebook ads in support of the cause. Those who called for Kavanaugh's firing signed the petition "Mason For Survivors."

Demand Justice is actively running ads targeting George Mason students, encouraging them to sign a petition that would “terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University” over Kavanaugh's alleged misconduct. The group also wants students to sign another petition which calls on Congress to investigate the sitting Supreme Court justice.

“Brett Kavanaugh has been credibly accused of sexual assault by multiple women whose allegations have not been thoroughly investigated,” Fallon told the Huffington Post. “His confirmation to the Supreme Court does not absolve him of guilt, and he should not be given a platform to teach. We stand with survivors and urge the George Mason University administration to fire Kavanaugh.”

When HuffPo asked GMU for comment, spokesman Michael Sandler pointed to a previous statement from the university’s president, Ángel Cabrera, saying Justice Kavanaugh will not be terminated.

“I respect the views of people who disagreed with Justice Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation due to questions raised about his sexual conduct in high school,” Cabrera wrote in HuffPo at the end of March. “But he was confirmed and is now a sitting Justice. The law school has determined that the involvement of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice contributes to making our law program uniquely valuable for our students. And I accept their judgment.”

Kavanaugh will teach a class on the origins of the United States Constitution to GMU Antonin Scalia Law School students in Runnymede, England next summer. According to Fox News, the class was so popular that all seats are filled.

On Tuesday, Mason For Survivors will host a town hall about sexual assault prevention, at which point Kavanaugh's hiring may be discussed.
