BREAKING: Burt Reynolds Dies from Heart Attack

Burt Reynolds, the popular 1970s actor known for his starring roles in classics like "Smokey and the Bandit," and "The Longest Yard," died from a heart attack Thursday.

Reynolds was Hollywood's top-grossing star every year from 1978 through 1982, reports The Hollywood Reporter. He received an Oscar nomination for his role in "Boogie Nights," which came out in 1997.

The actor passed at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida. He was 82.
