Actors Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson will both be featured in the upcoming feature film "OBAMAGATE" based on covert text messages exchanged between former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. The film is based on "FBI Lovebirds," a play produced by Phelim McAleer that features verbatim text message exchanges between Page and Strzok that served as the basis of an attempt to destroy President Donald Trump.

Just like the play, which features Cain as Strzok and Swanson as Page, OBAMAGATE, the movie will not break from the actual dialogue between the two as they carried out a romantic affair while plotting against President Trump. The movie will also feature tweeted messages from Former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Chief John Brennan.

Both actors have performed "FBI Lovebirds" several times including at CPAC in Washington, D.C. in February to tremendous applause and even laughter at the sometimes cringe-inducing messages between Strzok and Page. It was the first play ever performed at the annual convention. Politico has referred to the play as “Hamilton” for the “MAGA crowd.”

Cain said for this story, authenticity is the recipe for success.

"If you wanted to tell a story with just one perspective, you can do anything you want and you can change people’s perceptions of what took place,” Cain said. “When you do something verbatim, the words are there and it’s pretty darn clear. The verbatim texts themselves are damning."

The movie will be directed by Kiff Scholl, and Comey will be played by John James, who will use only recorded dialogue from the disgraced ex-FBI director. Other actors and collaborators are expected to be announced later this week.

The film is set to be released in October for free to audiences on YouTube. The timing of the release is not accidental, says film creator McAleer, who is eyeing Showtime's The Comey Rule and Strzok's recently released "self-aggrandizing" book as the pro-Russian hoax narrative he is looking to upend.

"Showtime has created The Comey Rule which is based on a political fairytale and a conspiracy theory that is told by the left in a shameless attempt to take down President Trump," said McAleer. "It’s simply untrue, and despite this, the media is gushing over The Comey Rule. Americans deserve the truth."

McAleer, a best-selling author, veteran investigative journalist, filmmaker, and playwright known for his prowess as a crowdfunder, said that Showtime is wielding an enormous pocketbook to spread disinformation.

“Showtime is spending tens of million of dollars to tell this lie and that’s why we’re creating Obamagate The Movie, to set the record straight," he said. "Whereas Showtime and The Comey Rule rely on dramatic fiction written by left-wing Hollywood writers, Obamagate The Movie is non-fiction and it is solely composed of the texts, emails, messages, and transcripts that clearly show the Deep State plot to take down President Trump.  We are giving viewers the word-for-word facts so they can decide for themselves."

McAleer co-wrote the best-selling book Gosnell: The Untold Story of America's Most Prolific Serial Killer which was turned into a feature-length film. More than $2 million was raised through crowdfunding to produce the film.

For OBAMAGATE, McAleer has once again turned to crowdfunding, seeking just $150,000 to get the film produced in record time.
