Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has certainly seen better days, as the vital agency continues to be hamstrung by radicals in the Biden Administration.

ICE has been significantly underreporting the number of illegal aliens being released into the country without tracking devices by a staggering 18,000 percent, according to a recent report from the Daily Caller News Foundation. According to the report, ICE officials informed attendees at an event last month that there are nearly 50,000 illegal aliens in the U.S. that aren’t being monitored with any tracking devices. Public reporting from ICE previously indicated that there were only 266 illegal aliens in the U.S. that fall into this category. ICE quietly corrected this data on its website after the report, which makes one wonder what other false data they may be putting out there in order to mislead the American people over the extent of the Biden Administration’s border crisis.

Fudged numbers and fake math tend to play a huge role on the anti-borders side of the immigration debate. Just last month while pushing amnesty for all illegal aliens in the U.S., Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer claimed that group amounted to just 11 million people, when the real number is likely at least two to three times greater.

The results of the Biden border disaster are hard to quantify, and most Americans don’t know the real numbers. Roughly 5.5 million illegal aliens have entered the U.S. since Joe Biden took office, leaving a humanitarian and national security crisis in their wake. A record number of terrorists have entered the U.S. through Biden’s abandoned border, and a record number of migrants have tragically died while making the dangerous trek through Central America to the United States.

Given this ongoing catastrophe, it is more important than ever for the U.S. to have strong public servants working at pivotal agencies such as ICE, trying to alleviate the crisis. As it turns out, we have the exact opposite.

Leading officials charged with protecting America’s sovereignty and national security continue to deliberately undermine that mission. Earlier this month, ICE held an event with an anti-borders law professor who has called for the agency to abolished and accused ICE agents of having “brutalized communities” by enforcing the law.

Unfortunately, this nutty professor’s beliefs are now commonplace at ICE and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have stacked our enforcement agencies with people who believe that enforcing the law and removing people from the country is a form of brutality. This pervasive belief among people charged with enforcing our laws is the root cause of the border crisis. The Biden Administration refuses to enforce our immigration laws because they despise those laws.

Joe Biden once again demonstrated his contempt for border security earlier this month when he said that he was not visiting the border during a recent trip to Arizona, because “there are more important things going on.” Biden’s contempt for American sovereignty was palpable in that statement, as it is with those who advocate for his immigration agenda. Meanwhile, Mayorkas recently gave a big speech on America’s national security, but only dedicated one sentence of the speech to the border crisis, which remains far and away the biggest threat to U.S. national security.

Biden’s dismissal of the border crisis exemplifies why morale amongst border patrol agents is at an all-time low. The day after Biden smugly ignored the crisis he caused, a Border Patrol agent died after crashing into a gate while chasing a group of illegal aliens. The White House did not even bother releasing a statement mourning the agent’s death. The Biden Administration’s disdain for the agency’s mission has led tocallousness towards the lives and wellbeing of those tasked with enforcing security at our border.

There is a rot eroding the foundations of our enforcement agencies, and that rot starts at the very top. The Biden Administration is deliberately sabotaging America’s most vital national security agencies.
