The end of Common Sense in our beloved homeland is going quickly down the drain. It is being replaced by those who can't even spell common sense, let alone practice it. Let me start with our beloved POTUS. This is not about his common sense, although I don't believe he has a wee droplet of it. This is about all of us, you and me, watching and doing not much to stop that man from becoming our leader? Well maybe not our leader but the President.

What were his credentials? He lived in several places outside of the mainland while growing up. He went to at least 3 schools of higher learning, Occidental College, Columbia and Harvard. How he did in these places is up for debate, in as much as we are not allowed to see his transcripts. Common sense, those words again, tell us when someone doesn't want us to see something it is most likely, 99% +, not a positive for that person.

I know that he was in the United States Senate, but his most prevalent vote was "present", not yea or nay. When it came to his religion he seemed to be a follower of Jeremiah Wright who appears not to behave as a patriot of this country would behave.

POTUS had one private sector job with a law firm where it is reported he spent his time writing his book(s), not running the firm or reportedly practicing law.

With this seemingly "amazing" background we gathered together and elected him to the highest office in the land. Now we hear from all parts of the country such statements as "he isn't much of a leader" he can't admit to making any mistakes, he blames anybody or everybody he can find for his errors and worst of all he has brought back racism and divided the country. Now I ask you who is it without common sense?

The loss of this precious brain function isn't just with the President or us. It is spreading throughout the nation in all areas. When we get lack of accountability from the top, and downright lying, it isn't hard to understand why those on a lower rung find little difficulty in doing anything and everything for themselves and zero for anyone else. The present day version of the Golden Rule has become ""Do onto others before they do it to you"!

I make my living in the financial world, primarily in the mortgage market. In my field common sense is not only missing, it is basically prohibited. There isn't a day that goes by that 3 or 4 people call and say "if I am able to make all my payments on time at 5.5% for over 10 straight years why don't I automatically qualify for the same amount that I currently owe at 3.75%". Because Barney & Chris say forgetaboutit!

That would be Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, one who helped sink Fannie May and the other who had a sweetheart loan from Countrywide. They now, through their legislation, The Dodd-Frank law, rule the mortgage industry. Their legislation is as out of control as they were before being nudged out of office.

If we don't get back to common sense in this country we will soon have more than Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, and ridiculous EPA rules. We will have hundreds more rules and regulations; and then our way of life and Common Sense will be gone for good, but not for the betterment of this land.

I close by stating that as a male senior citizen I really feel that I don't need maternity coverage and figured that out by using my common sense…
