Biden's Crisis Presidency

Despite 40 years of experience in Washington, D.C., and being the guy who vowed he could "restore normalcy" to the White House, President Joe Biden's crisis presidency is driving the United States of America into a depressive and nerve-racking free fall.

Inflation remains the most pressing and obvious crisis after recently released numbers showed consumer prices have skyrocketed past 9 percent, potentially barreling into the double digits by the end of the year. This runaway problem, which Biden just attempted to make worse with yet another big government spending program, is causing other parts of the economy to crash. The Federal Reserve is set to raise rates at record speed, plunging the housing, employment and new business markets into a slowdown.

Meanwhile, after Biden's FDA shut down the country's largest manufacturer of baby formula in February without a backup plan, shortages of product remain a stressful and daily challenge for new American parents. Even after Biden announced Operation Fly Formula in May, a program that imports baby formula from overseas, the problem is getting worse.

"According to the market research firm IRI, 28.3% of powdered baby formula products were out of stock at US stores for the week ending July 10 — a higher percentage than the 23.7% reported out of stock for the week ending May 22," the New York Post reports. "In addition to less availability, consumers are facing a dearth of choices when it comes to what type of baby formula to purchase."

On the national security front, we learned this week that military recruitment numbers — caused partially by Biden's catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, obesity made worse by pandemic lockdowns and unscientific Wuhan coronavirus vaccine mandates — have sunk to abysmal, dangerous lows not seen since 1975.

"The Pentagon's top leaders are now scrambling for ways to find new recruits to fill out the ranks of the all-volunteer force. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks consider the shortfall a serious issue...and have been meeting on it frequently with other leaders," NBC News reports. "The Army has met about 40% of its enlisted recruiting mission for FY22, with just over three months left in the fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30. The final quarter — the summer — is typically when the services recruit the most candidates following high school graduation."

But rather than getting ahead of these foreseeable and preventable problems, Biden has been making them worse by focusing on declarations of false emergencies and abusing his executive authority.

On Wednesday, Biden hopped onboard gas-guzzling Air Force One for a flight to Massachusetts. Once he arrived, he traveled to a shuttered coal plant in a fleet of SUVs to scare Americans into believing climate change is an existential and immediate threat to all of humankind. He claimed we're in a "climate crisis"  and that the future of the country depends on Americans purchasing electric vehicles.

Back in D.C. and in the aftermath of the Supreme Court returning abortion law to the states, Biden is set to declare a national emergency on the issue and continues to allocate federal government resources to his cause.

"That's something I've asked the medical people in the administration to look at, whether I have the authority to do that and what impact that would have," Biden told reporters at the beach in Delaware.

Biden is focused on the wrong things as the real crises of inflation, the economy diving into a recession and terrified parents continues to rage. His time in the Oval Office has been one rolling crisis – the real kind, not false declarations made for political reasons – after another, which is why even Democrats are looking to replace him in 2024.
