I’m not a connoisseur of gay cowboy movies, but then who really is? Can you be a connoisseur of one movie? As far as I know, the only gay cowboy movie is Brokeback Mountain and I’ve never seen it for the same reason I’ve never seen a movie about a “trans” character – I simply don’t care about the subject matter. That being said, I know what everyone knows about that movie – the line “I wish I knew how to quit you.”
I assume that line is about how the two lead characters can’t be together because they can’t be gay or whatever. Like I said, I don’t really care, I just want the line because that line is exactly how the left-wing establishment media is about Donald Trump – they can’t quit him.
If you told me there were fewer stories written about the former President than the current one in the last year I would believe you. The current one is an evil empty suit with a solid record of lying and failure throughout his life. Joe Biden’s only accomplishment is getting enough suckers in Delaware to vote for him every 6 years while making stories up about his own life. Makes you wonder who Republicans ran against him, I assume they were either bags of human excrement or someone who murdered puppies for a living because who else could lose to a person who repeatedly lies about their own life?
The media can’t cover Biden honestly, lest they’d talk about inflation, gas prices, his daughter’s accusation of molestation, how bad of a father he is, how he got rich, etc. If you were busy propping up the guy, which of those topics is something you’d touch with a 10-foot pole?
That leaves Trump.
The raid on Mar-a-Lago is important and outrageous. But by this time, weeks later, it’s also old news. Elected Republicans have commented on it. How many more times do they have to? According to the media, as many as it takes.

There were stories about the raid, stories about Republican reaction to the raid, stories about the reaction to the raid once more time had passed, and now there are stories about how there aren’t any more Republican reactions to the raid even though not much has changed. When there’s nothing new or relevant, how many times do Republicans have to talk about something liberals are desperate to use as a distraction?
There is no number of times Republicans can respond to a request for comment on an old story, largely driven by leaks from a very political Justice Department, that will be enough for the left-wing media. Weirdly, there aren’t stories about how previous leaks from FBI and Department of Justice “sources” turned out to be lies. Remember the “Trump had nuclear secrets and codes laying around” stories? Whatever happened to them?
Like all the other garbage they’ve thrown at the man, it didn’t stick. There really isn’t a crime Donald Trump hasn’t been accused of, but there isn’t a crime he’s ever been charged with, let alone convicted of. If these people had the evidence, any evidence, do you really think these unhinged, desperate for a distraction or campaign issue people who’d happily destroy anyone obstructing their pathway to power wouldn’t have acted on it? They’d kill their own children for an indictment.
They don’t have one, so you get stories like “GOP offers strained Trump defenses in Mar-a-Lago probe — for now” from Politico a month after the raid.
It reminds me of Todd Akin. In 2012, when Akin made wildly ignorant comments about rape the leftist media pounced. Every single Republican had to answer for what Akin said, repeatedly. Think what you will of Mitt Romney, but the man didn’t need to answer for what someone else said dozens of times.
A Google search of “Todd Akin” and “Mitt Romney” returns 90,200 results. A search of “Ed Buck” and “Barack Obama” returns 7,960. Buck, a long-time player and donor to Democrats, including Barack Obama and Joe Biden, is currently serving 30 years “for providing fatal doses of methamphetamine to two men who died at his apartment after he injected them with the drug.” He essentially overdosed two gay black men, but because he was a connected Democrat you’ve likely barely heard about it, if you’ve heard about it at all. The protected class status afforded gay black men by the Democrat establishment disappeared pretty quickly when it came to one of their sugar daddies.
Obama and Biden, as far as I can tell, haven’t been asked about him. If they had, it had to have been only once in passing. Which would be more times that Biden has been asked about his daughter’s diary or the evidence he’s met dozens of times with his son’s business partners despite his repeated lies that he’d never met any of them once.
Still, what about Donald Trump? He is catnip to the left. He’s the rambling mouth of the 3-card monte guy in Times Square at 3 am – the ultimate distraction for the left. They just can’t quit him because all they’d have left is the record of the senile, hatemongering pervert they’ve propped up for the last 2 years and only in Democrat circles and Delaware does that level of stupidity and failure play well.
