Socialism, the Creed of Ignorance

“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” —Winston Churchill

Just so everyone knows, I did not make up the title to this missive. As you can see, it comes from Sir Winston Churchill, a man certainly known for his bluntness, and truth. Churchill also referred to socialism--an economic model based upon redistribution of wealth, nationalization of economic production, creation and expansion of a welfare dependency society, social egalitarianism, and secular humanism--as a philosophy of failure.

Those who have adopted the socialist economic model have experienced gross failure. We can examine and assess the fall from grace of one of the most prosperous nations in the western hemisphere, Venezuela. In a short period of time the government of socialist Hugo Chavez took control of Venezuela’s energy sector and other industries and redistributed the wealth of citizens. Soon Venezuelans were forced to scour garbage for food and seek water from unscrupulous sources. Eventually many sought refuge in other countries, including the U.S. Even more recently, we witnessed the collapse of the economy of Sri Lanka after they fully embraced the leftist green new deal policies along with the ESG (environmental, social governance) standards.

And that brings us to America, where last week we witnessed what can only be described as abject ignorance.

On the same day we received the report of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showing a growth in core inflation, the Biden administration held a celebration.

Yes, Joe Biden and the other horsemen of the apocalypse, or perhaps better said the leaders of the party of the jackass, came together on the south lawn of the White House whooping it up over the Inflation Reduction Act. To make matters worse, they dragged out James Taylor, last seen serenading the French after an Islamic jihadist terrorist attack, to sing a song about suicide and heroin use. No, you cannot make this stuff up.

SOCIALISM

Now, the same day that the CPI reminded us that we are in a continued state of alarming inflation, the Dow Jones Industrial average took a 1200+ point nosedive. That means a loss of nearly some one trillion dollars in value, and that means Americans watch their retirement accounts dwindle. Then again, the Biden crew wants to spend another trillion in college student loan debt relief. But don't bother Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer with facts; they were having a grand ol' time celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act...which increases government spending and raises taxes, two things you do not do if you want to reduce inflation. And, by the way, what do 87,000 new IRS agents have to do with inflation reduction? Maybe that was what Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer were really celebrating—more government power.

Then came another tidbit of news that evidenced the creed of ignorance known as socialism has infiltrated our Republic. The U.S. Army issued guidance for soldiers struggling with inflation and high gas and food prices to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps. Celebration anyone?

Let me summarize this for y’all. Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer were celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act which does not reduce inflation. This administration is causing inflation. Biden came to office with inflation at 1.4%; it is now 8.3%. This news causes the stock market to dive. To perpetuate the circle of idiocy, the Bidenistas are spending more money and raising taxes on struggling Americans as they hire more IRS agents to go after those same struggling Americans. As well, the same Americans who can’t make ends meet are going to have to pay higher taxes to finance the debt of college students getting degrees in underwater gender studies. Meanwhile, the U.S. Army is telling soldiers to go on food stamps while Biden and company celebrate.

Now, if that does not fit the definition of creed of ignorance, then what does?

And another hilarious example of the creed of ignorance is our homegrown version of Baghdad Bob, the White House press secretary who tells us that no one is walking across the border illegally into the United States. Combine that with Pentagon spokespronoun John Kirby who when asked about China buying up land near military installations asserted that he does not comment and has no expertise in home ownership.

Anyone who can’t see this for what it is must be “stuck on stupid.” Sorry, I am channeling my inner Churchill and being blunt. Let me remind you of the words of Vladimir Lenin, “the goal of socialism is communism.” These ideals, principles, values, and philosophies are the antithesis of who we are as a constitutional republic. At the American Constitutional Rights Union Action Fund we will always stand against socialism and for liberty and the U.S. Constitution.

Steadfast and Loyal.
